Pass4press guidelines help you create print-ready PDFs that will give you the results you expect. They are based on using PDF/X-1a: this is a subset of the PDF family geared specifically towards printing. Pass4press follows international guidelines on creating print-ready PDFs.

Printing on clear

When printing on a clear substrate like clear acrylic or glass, it’s good to remember that the image will be transparent, so if you need any part of the image to be opaque, we have to print a white spot colour beneath the image.

Vector artwork

Adobe Illustrator or InDesign files for example.
Supply all linked files and outline the fonts.

Acceptable formats:
.ai, .pdf, .eps, .Indd

Raster artwork

Adobe Photoshop files for example.
Resolution should be around 300 pixels per inch and a minimum of 100 pixels per inch at 100%

No file should exceed 1 Gb.

Acceptable formats:
.pdf, .eps, .jpg, .tiff, .psd
